Sonia Chhatwal has been Executive Director of The Rigby Foundation since 2023. She has over 25 years’ experience working with renowned corporate foundations, leading charities and global businesses and believes passionately that the opportunities open to young people should not be limited by where they live or by their family background.
Sonia works closely with Steve and the other senior members of the Rigby Family, who are all Foundation Trustees, and she is responsible for driving the Foundation’s strategy. Most recently, Sonia has been supporting Steve in his work with national and local government and other stakeholders to highlight the growing recognition of the importance of place-based philanthropy.
As well as leading The Rigby Foundation, Sonia is a Trustee of the Jaguar Land Rover Foundation and founder of the Women Leaders of Corporate Foundations Network, which represents female leaders of over 70 corporate charities from a wide range of sectors.
