Alison Phillips is an award-winning journalist, editor, commentator and communications consultant. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Mirror (2018-2024) during which time she was responsible for the Daily, Sunday and digital editions.
As editor Alison led the Mirror through Covid breaking a string of exclusive stories around Partygate and Dominic Cummings’ infamous trip to Barnard Castle.
Alison is now a senior adviser for the MHP Group and writes regularly for The New Statesman, The i newspaper and The Observer. She often appears on television and radio, discussing current social and political issues on shows including This Morning, Question Time and Newsnight.
Alison is a trustee of the National Trust, board member of the Society Editors and Journalists’ and committee member of Women in Journalism.
