Neil is a fourth generation member of his two family businesses in North East Scotland; Johnstons of Elgin and Gordon & MacPhail. He holds the role of Chair in both businesses.

Gordon & MacPhail is the world’s leading malt whisky specialist, established in 1895. The company are proud owners of Benromach Distillery and The Cairn Distillery. For over 130 years Gordon & MacPhail has been driven by a simple mission: to create single malt of exceptional quality.
His interests extend to the third sector as a Charity Trustee of ‘Keep Scotland Beautiful’ and Patron of the MS Society.
