By submitting your application and ticking the acceptance box, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Eligibility

    • Membership of Family Business UK (“FBUK”) is open exclusively to family businesses as defined by FBUK.
    • FBUK reserves the absolute right to verify eligibility and to refuse or cancel any application that does not meet this criterion.

  2. Application and Acceptance

    • Submission of an application does not guarantee membership.
    • Membership is confirmed only upon acceptance by FBUK and receipt of full payment of the applicable membership fee.

  3. Fees and Payment

    • Successful applicants will be issued an invoice for membership fees.
    • Payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms stated on the invoice.
    • Membership renewals will be invoiced annually and must be paid promptly to maintain active status.

  4. Membership Benefits

    • Upon activation of membership, you will be entitled to access FBUK member benefits, resources, and services as outlined by FBUK.
    • You may publicly refer to your organisation as a “Member of Family Business UK” in your communications.

  5. Code of Conduct

    • All members must comply with the FBUK Code of Conduct at all times.
    • Breach of the Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

  6. Termination

    • FBUK reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for non-payment, breach of these Terms, or failure to meet eligibility requirements.

  7. Cancellation

    • Membership may be cancelled by the member at any time during the membership year.
    • Membership fees are non-refundable in whole or in part.
    • Where membership is cancelled, access to membership benefits will remain in place until the end of the 12-month membership term following the commencement date.

  8. Data Protection

    • By applying for membership, you consent to FBUK processing your personal and business data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and FBUK’s Privacy Policy.

  9. Changes to Terms

    • FBUK may amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, policy, or operational requirements.
    • Updated Terms will be published on the FBUK website, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
