Josh is a 3rd generation owner-manager of Peter Ramsey Timber Ltd. Established in 1972 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, by Peter Ramsey, Ramsey Timber has grown to become the leading supplier of softwood and sheet material components and sub-assemblies to the UK and Ireland’s bedding manufacturers.
Having spent 7 years in Management Consultancy and Project Management at Atos Consulting and PwC, specialising in digital transformation, Josh joined the business in 2021. He leveraged his experience in his first role heading IT at Ramsey Timber, implementing improvement projects from back office to shop floor, before moving on to lead the newly formed Commercial department, where he now sits as Commercial Director. In this role Josh focusses on defining and delivering the Sales and Product strategy for Ramsey Timber, whilst overseeing the NPD, Customer Services and Quality functions within his department.
Josh has an BA Politics and History from Manchester University and an MSc Management from Durham business school
He is an avid skier and hiker, a rugby enthusiast, and terrible tennis player. He lives with his wife, 2-year-old son, Labrador and rescue cat in a sleepy village just north of Bradford.
