Grant Gordon is a philanthropist and social entrepreneur. He established the Ethos Foundation working to help build a society in the UK where people and communities thrive. The Foundation’s giving is informed by a multi-generational family commitment to philanthropy. The principal causes supported by the Foundation include the Childhood Trust, London’s poverty fighting charity, which Grant founded and chairs. He also chairs the Cabrach Trust, a charity based in a remote part of Scotland’s North East, promoting community resilience and regeneration. Grant is co-founder of a new early-years collective impact initiative, Thrive at Five, with the mission to support children to achieve a good level of development at five, closing the unacceptable gap in school-readiness.
